    What does the law say?

    Egg donation is regulated by Law 14/2006 of 26 May on assisted human reproduction techniques, Royal Decree 412/1996 of 1 March, and Royal Decree-Law 9/2014 of 4 July, which establish that gamete donation in Spain is voluntary, anonymous, and altruistic. This legal framework provides for compensation to cover the expenses and possible inconveniences arising from this act.
