HyFoSy (Hysterosalpingography)

HyFoSy is a test used to study the patency of the Fallopian tubes and the uterine cavity, helping to detect possible obstacles that may hinder pregnancy.

What is HyFoSy?

The test consists of introducing a mild ultrasound contrast agent through the cervix and observing, by ultrasound, whether the tubes are patent and the uterine cavity is normal.

It is recommended when there are difficulties achieving pregnancy, before starting assisted reproduction treatments, or if tubal obstruction or uterine anomalies are suspected.
